GESP – NEW PROJECT IS JUST BEGINNING

GESP – NEW PROJECT IS JUST BEGINNING

A meeting was held in Belgrade to mark the beginning of the project “Re-imagining the playing field – a gender equality in sport project” (GESP), with its main theme being gender equality in sports. The project falls under the Erasmus+ Sport program.

Attendees from partnering organizations were driven by enthusiasm and focused on tackling gender disparities in sports. Knowledge Infusion, the hosting organization and member of our club presented the LeaderShe project, which was the inspiration for GESP, highlighting effective strategies for fighting gender inequality in sports.

The meeting agenda covered a thorough examination of the GESP project, including its implementation plan, milestones, and partner responsibilities.
Also, it was important for everyone to clearly define deliverables aimed at creating a lasting impact and dismantling gender barriers in sports. The meeting discussed key performance indicators and metrics to gauge GESP’s effectiveness, striving for measurable advancements in women’s representation in sports.

Additionally, a communication strategy involving social media, and publications was addressed to enhance GESP’s visibility.
With a detailed plan, transparent deliverables, and a clear communication strategy, GESP is set to a great start in significantly promoting gender equality in sports.

The collaborative spirit displayed by partnering organizations from Portugal, North Macedonia, Spain, Turkey, and Serbia is giving us the very inspiration for this project.
We can’t wait to see how GESP develops from here and how our contribution will add to its success.
